Bryan Anderson

Candidate for: 5th District, Board of Aldermen

Bryan AndersonBryan brings experience and vision to his bid for a fourth term on the Board of Aldermen. Respected by Republicans and Democrats alike, he has worked to provide solutions and increase communications with residents of the Fifth District. Bryan was instrumental in preserving education funding and in crafting tax cuts for Milford taxpayers the past two budget cycles. He has been active with the United Federation of Teachers.

Karen Fortunati

Candidate for: 5th District, Board of Aldermen

Karen FortunatiKaren is the author of award-winning and nationally recognized young adult novel, The Weight of Zero. She is a former prosecutor specializing in narcotics crimes and juvenile offenders, and former attorney specializing in criminal defense and DCF matters.

Karen has been married to Dr. Frank Fortunati, Medical Director at Yale New Haven Psychiatric Hospital, for twenty-one years. Karen and Frank have two children.


Dominic Cotton

Candidate for: 5th District, Board of Aldermen

Dominic CottonDominic Cotton has 25 years of behavioral healthcare management experience, and is an advocate for Brain Injury, Rare Disease, and Justice. Dominic has advocated for Milford for changes to the 8-30g Affordable Housing Regulations and against changes to Silver Sands state park.

  • Graduate with a BA in Psychology from UCONN and a Masters in Healthcare Admin from WCSU

Dominic and Michelle Cotton have been married for 11 years, and son Michael attends Orange Ave School.

Claire Casey

Candidate for: 5th District, Board of Education

Claire CaseyClaire is a long time resident of Milford and has enjoyed serving the City of Milford in various roles. She is a teacher at St. James School and is involved with many outreach activities. Claire is eager to serve continue serving the residents in the 5th.

Claire and her husband of 29 years have lived in Milford since 1988 and they have two children.


Adam De Young

Candidate for: 5th District, Board of Education

Adam De YoungAdam has been a resident of Milford for nearly 10 years. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a brief stint in Vermont, Adam and his wife moved to Milford. They have been married for 11 years and have two early elementary children in the Milford school system.

Carl S. Moore

Candidate for: 5th District, Planning & Zoning

Carl S. MooreCarl has been serving on the Planning & Zoning Board since 2013. He has worked in the healthcare insurance industry for over 15 years, currently working in Healthcare Analytics at United Healthcare. Carl served in United States Air Force during Operation Desert Storm.

Carl and his wife, Diana Crosdale Moore, have a son, Isaiah. He is a mentor for Career Beginnings and an Youth Advisor for Sickle Cell Association of America. Carl enjoys jogging, golf, chess, basketball and softball.
